Bonjour!

This is Katie and David reunited at long last in Paris. After everything possible going wrong with our flights, connections, transfers and then lastly trying to find each other at the airport, we are here safely after, in the end, having to meet up in Paris, at the hotel instead of the airport!

It is fantastic and surreal to finally meet up after way too long in foreign places. We had planned this trip on our first date and cannot quite believe we are finally here! Our hotel is smack bang in the middle of the action; two minutes walk to the Sacre Coéur and steps away from the Moulin Rougè.

So from here we go to my (Katie's) Uncles house in the North of France in the area of Normandy for about a week and we will have no phone or internet there. After this we will be back in Paris and back to the real world of trying to find jobs/apartment/learn Français (see its coming along nicely!) etc.

So we'll write soon, probably in about a week or so.

Lots of Love,

Katie and David

P.S. Liz was right; it was the longest flight of our lives. It took 2 months to get here!

Awww, how romantic! Must be incredible to be back together after your travels. Hope your hotel is on the nicer side of the Moulin Rouge!

If you haven't already, check out the Dali Museum in Montmarte - it's near the artist's square. It's fantastic and covers a lot of his pre-surrealist work as well.

Have a brilliant time- I'll see you in a few weeks!

Hi Katie & Dave, (why is it that way around...female supremacy maybe....)

We were in Brisbane the night when you were trying to find each other in Paris sorry, but you did find each other and by now you'll be in deepest Normandy trying to find out where the nearest shop is, how to fix the bicycles in the barn and failing that, how to get to the nearest village. Remember the time we all got muddy on the bicycles down the back lane...with Jackie I think and you fell in a mud puddle kate, right up to your middle too.
Many a happy time in that house, late nights around the fireplace, drunken summer days out the front in the garden with a chateux neuf de trop much. Hope you have fun.
lacey's decided ballet over jazz and tap, she didn't like all the footwork in tap (too boring she said).
Everything else OK here, Blue's getting middle aged spread, macca's just macca, Geoff's cooking my dinner (exactly where I like him), Lacey's in the lounge singing to herself whilst trying to get to grips with the game of noughts and crosses (on her own) and I'm sipping un verre de vin rouge.
Spk to you when you get back to gay paris!
Love Mum and Geoff xxx
