Magnet
Here i am in New York. I was thinking, you know, I might see some celebrities, playground of the rich and famous after all, but it has been considerably ridiculous how many i have seen. Here is the list, so far:
Robert De Niro
Christopher Walken
David Bowie
Faye Dunaway
Kevin Bacon
Whoopi Goldberg
Minnie Driver
Norman Mailer (author)
Trump's Daughter
Brian Cox
and yesterday i saw Josh Hartnett filming a movie (this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0470679/) in the street about 2 blocks from where i am staying. I stood and marvelled at the filming and the cameras and the process for about 2 hours.
So who knows who it will be tomorrow. I have photos of all of these sightings as well, even if they are in the distance.
So even if it is bucketing with rain outside in New York right now i can always look at my photos of Robert De Niro and know i was in his precense.
Everybody stop working, doing assignments, etc; go overseas!

Ah, you make us laugh Dave, do you actually sleep at all or do you just roam the streets continually on the "star lookout"?

Mum and Liz here. We are sitting on Liz and Matt's couch in Sydney - Matt and Dad are asleep!!! Ma and Pa are having a great time down here in rainy Sydney - we are going to a nice Thai restaurant in Surrey Hills tonight - you and Katie would have fun here too!! We had a lovely cosy breakfast in Woollahra this morning and then walked up to South Head to see where the ocean meets Sydney Harbour - pretty spectacular views. Not as awesome as your celebrity sightings though.
Think we should lay down some challenges - we want you to spot some of the following:
- Sarah Jessica Parker;
- Britney Spears;
- Bill Clinton;
- David Letterman;
- Paris Hilton;
- George Bush (Snr or Jnr);
- Brad Pitt;
- Liza Minelli;
- Elton John;
- Oprah Winfrey.

Hey Dave!
I have been admiring all of your posts here and I am extremely jealous of all of your adventures!
I told a couple of the guys hanging out in our sky prison (i.e. work) about your visits to Yosemite National Park and NY and we all decided that we would quit and come join you (Liz wouldn't let me).
Your parents, Liz and I have just returned from dinner - we ended up eating at cafe sydney with a view of the harbour and we were all thinking of you.
Definitely keep popping photos up here, we are all intrigued by what you are experiencing everyday!
